Have you ever wondered what route the communication between humans have taken had languages not been there? May be signs would have been our alternative or may be something else. However, aren’t we lucky to have been born in this era where languages are largely the medium of communication among our species?

So finally when today I wrapped up my basic level dutch examination, on my way back to the room I was thinking about how we process this information in our brain and that how words unknown to us are being interpreted by it. It fascinated me to even think about the enormous potential our cognitive senses have. Similar to human evolution from the cro magnan days, even the languages have seen certain changes in the way they have been spoken. Some languages have died while some have given rise to a different group of languages.
In one of the videos that I was watching on dying languages of my home country India, it was astonishing to learn that almost 1500 languages have died only in 10 years. One of the major languages, Latin is no more being used except for in some of the churches. Although we have excised words from the major languages and integrated them in English, I still fear that English might die soon and give birth to several different languages.
Nevertheless, the potential these languages have in expressing a feeling in various ways is still beautiful.
